Sensex up 1,200 pts, Nifty above 22,500 as all sectors rally; small, mid caps outperform

Benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex traded with firm gains, on track to snap a three-day losing streak. The rebound follows the sharp sell-off on April 7 that wiped out Rs 16 lakh crore in market capitalisation.
